Dealers in death
dabbling in darkness
we are the gatekeepers of the porthole to the next world
Our clients : Dead Before Arrival
bones cling-wrapped in skin
ravaged by a retrovirus
distorting DNA
motherless
we will callously stamp their passport
for the next leg of the journey

Truly a heart wrenching job
yet someone must do it
and maybe the smile you offer them means more than anything else in this World
In the Middle Ages people were always buried with two coins placed on their eyes...payment for the one receiving the dead and transporting him/her into the other world.
Some scary stuff man :)
And yet people think doctors live glamarous lives. Does one respect life more or less when faced with mortality each day?
Vivid imagery Ayesha-beautiful in its harshness
